The yarn is dyed 16 times with natural indigo rope dyeing, the first attempt even by Sakamoto Denim, the leader in indigo dyeing, making this denim extra dark color. The denim is about 15.8oz. It is one of the heavier denim fabrics, but the slow weaving on an old-fashioned power loom gives it a fluffy texture with a unique surface unevenness. These are beautiful denim with a handmade feel and warmth, made of high-quality materials and inefficiently but sparingly time-consuming.
