The characteristic coin-like pattern (a dots pattern within a circle) is emphasized by layering horizontal embroidery (Sewing machine for embroidery with a needle that swings left and right) to create a three-dimensional effect that beautifully depicts the power of the approaching pit vipers. Multiple colored threads are used for the bamboo and leaves, with gradations from white to green to express a nighttime bamboo grove with depth. The black with gold body and ribs are accented with red and white piping.\u003cbr\u003e\n        The reversible side features an eagle spreading its wings while holding a white snake in its mouth. The light-colored gradation of white, gold, and pink threads is used to precisely depict the shading of the overlapping feathers, and the embroidery is brought out with black on the eagle's head, the snake's scales, and the pine tree branch on which the eagle rests. The motif is the \"Yamakagashi(Tiger keelback),\" which is said to have the strongest venom in Japan.
